Fermacell is a high performance, multi-purpose building board.  It can be used in virtually all dry lining applications to provide a superior result to standard wallboard.  It is, however, heavier than wallboard and uses different installation techniques.  If you are using Fermacell for the first time, whether you are a developer, installer, architect or builder, please read the relevant manuals.  Fermacell can be installed by general building trades as well as specialist contractors, including joiners, dry liners and shopfitters.  It can even be installed by competent DIY'ers.  Fermacell Recommended Contractors have been trained in the use of Fermacell and will price jobs from the viewpoint of experience gained over a number of projects.

If you are not using a Recommended Contractor for your project, then please ensure that your chosen contractor is aware of the differences between the installation techniques required for Fermacell and those of wallboard.  Get them to read the manual and if in doubt, call us.
