fermacell gypsum fibreboards have long been associated with the demanding requirements of school partitions. Being highly robust with excellent load holding capabilities means that the "Severe" duty rating demanded is achieved without the need for multiple layers and offers additional cost saving opportunities through the elimination of most plywood patressing.
To showcase the advantages of gypsum fibreboards in the education sector, fermacell have created a brand new CPD, incorporating updated information and sector specific application details. This was submitted to RIBA for approval and was duly approved without any amendments and is now released for use.
Commenting on this success, fermacell UK general manager Gary Carter said "Because we have so much experience in the education sector we felt we could improve the level of knowledge of specifiers to enable them to design fit for purpose partitions and deliver better overall value to their clients. We continue to see many examples whereby a better, more cost effective fermacell gypsum fibreboard solution to a traditional drywall specification could have been created from the outset, without recourse to value engineering at a later stage".
"Our team of specialist technicians put together this new CPD very quickly, and the first-time approval by RIBA is very gratifying to me as it shows we got it right first time" says Carter.
CPD seminars can be booked by contacting fermacell CPD programme co-ordinator, Joanne Banks on 0121 311 3487 or at [email protected].
