We are delighted to offer Continous Professional Development (CPD) presentations presented by our Specification Managers across the UK.  As members of the RIBA CPD Providers Network, all of our courses are RIBA approved which can be used to claim CPD points.

Duration
Our CPD are for a duration of approx. 45 minutes and can take place virtually online via Teams software or Webex, any time from Monday - Friday.

Who should attend?
Architects, design and build specifiers, building engineers, planning and building control officers and developers. By request, the seminar can also be re-focused to give more information specific to sector or aimed to estimators/quantity surveyors.

Following the seminar, our specification team will be happy to  discuss any projects you may be working on at the moment, offer general advice and arrange for K10 specification support to be supplied to you free of charge.

What is it about?
In many applications, new building regulations and performance specifications demand more than conventional solutions can deliver. Using wet trades or traditional dry lining techniques can often limit design and ceate difficulties on site. High-density fibre gypsum board could be the most effective and time-efficient solution.

Please contact us at [email protected] to book a virtual CPD for your practice, choosing from the topics below:

Fibre Gypsum: The Third Way

The presentation aims to give a broad and as detailed as possible overview of fibre gypsum as an alternative to concrete blockwork and plasterboard/drywall as an internal wall material.

The CPD focuses on the pros and cons of wall materials and compares performance criteria in the context of Modern methods of construction and the demands of carbon reduction and circular economy considerations. It covers the essentials on the nature of the material, how it is made and used as an internal walling material as part of an overview of wall construction technology and principles.

By the end of this CPD delegates ought to have:

2. Improved understanding of Fibre Gypsum as a relevant and carbon reduction material and how it can be used effectively.

3. A thorough background in the nature and properties of Fibre Gypsum how it can be used to satisfy modern approaches to sustainable building whilst offering a fine, robust material.

4. An understanding of typical details and cases using fibre cement in construction.

5. Knowledge on how Fibre Gypsum meets legislative requirements and standards in health and safety, approved documents and standards and durability.

Fibre Gypsum: Modern Floor Performance
