Gypsum fibreboard

Gypsum fibreboard

A multi-purpose building board for wall and flooring applications

fermacell’s BBA-approved boards are manufactured in Germany and Holland where they were developed more than 30 years ago to offer technically superior solutions to the requirement for modern materials to save time and money on site.

When installed, the high performance, multi-purpose building board combines the properties of solid blockwork with the speed and flexibility of drywall, allowing designers and specifiers to use radical solutions in internal space planning.  A single layer of fermacell® board can replace the need for multiple board types and layers but at a lower install cost.

fermacell® gypsum fibreboard is made by combining recycled gypsum, recycled cellulose fibres from post consumer waste paper and recycled water to form a homogenous mass, which is then formed into a dense sheet material and after curing, cut to board size.

The manufacturing technique is not only unique because of the material it produces, but also due to the fact that the process itself is full recyclable - all by-products are fed back intot he system, ensuring no waste is produced. Both the product and the process have been awarded the coveted Rosenheim Institute of Construction Biology and Ecology certificate.

  • Made from recycled materials
  • Impact resistant
  • Class 0, A2 fire rating
  • Best sound insulation
  • One layer solution
  • Reduced requirement for pattresing
  • Skim type finish without plastering
